Why I run:
I’m an A&E nurse who started running to manage the stress of working during the pandemic, when my usual team sports were no longer an option. After entering my first fell race in the Peak District, I quickly began to love the sport and the fell running community. I joined Dark Peak Fell Running Club in 2023 and began racing more competitively, whilst also challenging myself with solo and self-supported mountain running.
In 2024, I made the move to the Lake District, driven by a desire to immerse myself in fell running and to spend my free time exploring the hills. When I have a couple of days off between nursing shifts, I will run between hostels or into the hills with my bivvy. Fell running has allowed me to explore some amazing parts of the world and connected me with an incredible community of like-minded people.
