This is the weekend for those who love the outdoors.
Take on trail races with GRASMERE GALLOP or the OMM LITE adventure race which will take you around the fells surrounding Grasmere.
Learn to navigate or sharpen your Nordic walking skills with workshops all weekend.
With catering, bar & camping on site and inspiring guest speakers taking to the stage, there’s something for everyone to get involved with.
Non-competitors are welcome too so bring the kids (and someone to look after them) while you enjoy the trails.

Navigation Maze and Orienteering trails
Have a go at navigation with our free trails! Can you navigate around the mini maze or around a mini course within the Grasmere Showfield or tackle a longer trail around the beautiful Grasmere village. Learn navigation skills which are not only a vital life skill but a handy performance tool for budding trail and fell runners. Understand how to orientate a map, look for features and plan for the optimum route between controls, not to mention a few compass tricks too. Delivered by the friendly team from British Orienteering. All ages and abilities welcome!

Teddy Dash
Grasmere Gallop challenges your Teddy to run, run, run! Can your and your teddy gallop to the finish line on the Grasmere Sports Field? Age 5 and under. Medals and Lollipops for all! Enter on the day for £1.
Facepainting
Add a little magic to your day with some face painting! Small charge – pay on the day.
Grasmere village and lake
Nestling at the foot of some spectacular fells and with its own lake, the village has many shops, pubs and cafes. You can also visit Wordsworth’s grave in the churchyard and buy the legendary Grasmere Gingerbread. Popular walks include following Red Bank Road and then the footpath along the west shore of the lake towards Rydal Water. With no motor boats, this quieter lake is great for swimming and rowing. In the summer you can hire rowing boats on the lake. More info here.
