I originally grew up down south in the flatlands near London, but I immediately saw the light when I came up north for uni. I’m originally a cross country runner and triathlete, but I was immediately hooked on mountain running after my first Lakes run up Blencathra and Skiddaw. I love the techy stuff and exploring/getting lost on long days out (although I’m quite good at getting lost during races as well), in terms of racing for me you just can’t beat the pure sufferfest that is a steep uphill climb. I tend to race shorter races by trail/fell running standards but am keen to try something a bit longer this year.
